I have been asked to add this recipe to my blog so here it goes.
I made this a few nights ago and let me tell you it was the best egg drop soup i have ever had and my bf said that it was definitely 5 star quality which you wont find at any of your local run of the mill asian flair chains.
Ingredients:
6 cups chicken broth + 2 cups
6 green onions - diced green parts
1/2" piece of fresh grated ginger
2 cloves fresh minced garlic
1/4 tsp salt
6 eggs
1 1/2 Tbl cornstarch
1. First star out by adding your 6 cups chicken stock, green onions, ginger, and garlic, & salt in a pot and bring to a good rolling boil.
2. While that boils mix the 1 1/2 Tbl cornstarch with the remaining 2 cups of broth
3. Lightly beat your 6 eggs in a bowl
4. Pour in you corn starch mixture and return to boil
5. Use a wooden spoon to slowly stir your soup in a clockwise motion while adding in your beaten eggs.
6. Let eggs cook about 2 minutes, slowly stirring once or twice.
7. Remove from heat, let cool slightly and volia.
